The Last Marine

Solo Developer, Personal Project

A first-person psychological horror shooter set aboard an alien-infested space station, blending combat, narrative, and mental distortion.

I designed The Last Marine as a psychological horror experience that combines first-person combat with narrative-driven tension and mental disorientation. The game places players in a hostile space station environment while gradually revealing a deeper psychological truth behind the protagonist’s reality.

The design focuses on blending traditional horror mechanics with shifting environments and perception-based storytelling, where the world reflects the protagonist’s mental state. Alongside this, I explored a modular weapon system that allows players to dynamically customize their firearms through interchangeable parts, creating unique playstyles and combat scenarios.

This is a solo project that I continue to develop and iterate on over time, focusing on refining both the gameplay systems and the overall experience as the project evolves.
